Just because a book is simple, for early readers, does not mean it can't be smart and hilarious. I see why this book one a Dr. Seuss award. I can't wait to read it at story time!

Winner of the 2021 Geisel award. A book early readers will love. The language is simple, the pictures are engaging, and the concept is funny. The text of the book interacts with the dog, describing things that he doesn't see. Kids will laugh, but also be able to empathize with the way the book makes Max feel, and appreciate his solutions to the problems he faces.

So cute and humorous! Goes along perfectly with See the Dog by the same author and illustrator.

This book is so funny! I literally giggled aloud reading it. It is so much fun to watch dog react to the text. This book and its companion See the Dog: Three Stories About A Cat have ruined me. I can never read another "See dog run," book again.
