Not as good as the first one, and there were parts that were the same story as the first book from a different perspective. I nearly DNF until about 3 hours in. It clearly took a while for me to invest, but I’m glad I stuck it out.

I am WEAK

OK WOW I liked that a lot more than Wolfsong. Could be for a a couple reasons: it took me forever to get through Wolfsong and that could very well be because of the writing style which isnt bad it's just VERY repetitive. The other thing could be I listened to the audio book on this one and that helped so much. Also I think this one had more compelling story arc. Yea a lot of the first 25% was focused on rehashing the plot from the first book but I think it was necessary and we saw it from another persons perspective and it was sped up AND it was innerspliced with flashbacks to Gordo and Mark's childhoos and budding romance. And the motivations of the villains made a little more sense. This family needs a BREAK OMFG

And the next book features ROBBIE whom I fucking love and a ace spec romance. Call me HOOKED
