"I know you're a person, a person who is capable of making choices. I want you to choose me because you want me, Tem. Not because you're in a fight with him."

One of the most repetitive—and frustrating—themes in this book is how often Caspen reveals something important to our FMC, Tem, only for her to blow up at him for keeping it from her. Every time this happens, she immediately runs to Leo, the second male lead. It happens so frequently that Leo actually has to call her out on it, pointing out how toxic that behavior is—which, of course, she needed to hear. While I enjoy a good smutty fantasy read, I found Tem to be toxic and hard to tolerate.

*Update*
The more I think about this book, the more it pisses me off. In the book, she actually questions why she should remain loyal to Caspen if he keeps secrets from her, and then she proceeds hook up with Leo the second male lead and keeps secrets from Caspen to "protect him." Definitely not a fan of Tem, she may actually be one of the worst fmc's to date.

Completely unhinged. Just when I’d think like okay this is wierd but sure fine, we’d take a hard right turn further into crazy town. I couldn’t put it down, or pick my jaw off the floor.

Steamy ain’t the word for this one…🔥🔥🔥

I've read Wattpad stories better written than this. Absolutely no structure, no consistency. There was potential, but to me it felt like the author kept going back and forth, adding things that led to a complete lack of direction. Nothing made sense. It was as if even she didn’t know what she wanted to do with the book. If confusion was the goal she made it.

Absolutely bat-sh*t insane and I’ve here for ever second of it. Be warned it’s not for the faint of heart and will make you question your reality and judgement.
