Although I really enjoyed it, I didn't love it. It was so go at the beginning but toward the middle it kind of list it's flare. It got very repetitive and that's what I didn't like. THe jump from past to present was really good and it helps understand but the book just wasnt juicy like I expected it to be. Creed is a ba ass that's for sure, but I still love knight haha
Wow. Just wow. I was hesitant to read this book because I knew it was going to be heavy, and this isn't my favorite of KAs series. But I am so very glad I did. Sylvie...I was worried she would be too hard and not feminine enough for me to like. She was awesome. The things she went through, she still came out with the ability to love and love fiercely. Creed is hard and amazing. He definitely is a hero interrupted. Their story is so incredibly heart wrenching. KA does not fool around with heart wrenching....she always does it so well. I am not usually a fan of flash backs in a book--I much prefer staying in the here and now. My stomach usually hurt whenever we flashed to the past, but it was written very well. I thought there was going to be more action in this book--the focus is definitely more on Sylvie and Creed than anything else--and if I could change one thing about this, I would wish for more action and plot. I love the relationships that KA builds, but I also wish she would give us ALL that she does well, every single time.
OK - So I may have been a little harsh with Knight. No, I didn't like the dialogue so much in that one, but it came up again in Creed and I didn't mind it so much. That was because Sylvie is my hero. I love this girl and Creed was freakin awesome throughout the whole book. I loved the way the book moved along and didn't dwell or repeat itself too much. These characters had so much to learn about each other, falling in love again was the easy part.
I would highly recommend the Unfinished Heroes saga from Kristen Ashley. She does alpha males and alpha females perfectly. Onto to Raid.

Sylvie is very bad ass & the book is focused on her, her healing & her HEA. Quite a wild ride & I liked her, and Creed, a lot.
I'm really enjoying this series and loved this book. Tucker Creed and Sylvie Bissenette were separated when they were younger. They meet again 15 years later, work together and re-discover their love. I really liked that we got the background story in pieces. Ms Ashley makes me feel as though I am there with the MCs. This was an emotional read where I was routing all through for Creed & Sylvie. Loved the epilogue!

I love this second-chance romance. The Creed and Sylvie, from different social circles but both suffering from dysfunctional families, became friends as children in spite of their age differences. Their special place throughout the years was a pier at the lake, where they would meet, especially for her birthdays. Friendship became love over the 12 years they had together.
And then they were tragically torn apart in truly awful ways the day they were to run away together.
Fast forward 16 years, when Creed accidentally finds Sylvie again and learns that she wasn't happy all those years, as he'd thought. Sylvie discovers a special tattoo on his back. He's never moved on. They have a rocky reunion, but finally get their HEA (this is a romance, after all).
Just some notes--Sylvie is a badass heroine, even more than the Rock Chicks. When I first read her POV I thought I was reading a male POV. Don't let that put you off. Also, this book is a scorcher.
In many ways, CREED is similar to KA's WALK THROUGH FIRE and especially THE TIME IN BETWEEN. I loved those books, too, and highly recommend them.

I love the Unfinished Hero series, not conventional heroes, but still hero's all the same. I love the story between these two characters and i felt the loss as keenly as they did.
Again Kristen Ashley has not failed in her endeavour to pull the reader so much they could cry once the book is finished.
Within pages of starting a Kristen Ashley book I'm hooked and wouldn't have it any other way.
Highly recommended!!!!!!!!
