This probably would have been two stars, but honestly the accents and voices throughout the audiobook threw me off frequently. Some of them were downright annoying.
I also found it hard to keep up with the story at times because it was jarring. I did like the premise of the author writing himself into the novel but there were moments throughout that I felt were filler and were not necessary for the story.
I don’t blame the author or story for me not liking it. I just don’t think it was for me!

**Side note: I also didn’t know that this was book 2 until after I had already started it so I think I missed a lot of Easter eggs and references due to not reading the first one.
