Holy cow! What a ride this book was! Rory is so strong for such a young girl, and she doesn’t take crap from anyone! I loved her putting the guys in their places, and I loved seeing the expected guys entering the picture! Lots of triggers and tons of spice! Loved it!!!

Ok... Wow that went down fast. It a good start for a crazy fuck up story. I have no ideas what's next...

I recommend if you like dark stuff.

Intense

This is a very dark and intense read that isn’t for the faintest hearts. This story has triggers. This is about a girls that is keeping dark stuff to her self and is just wanting to be loved by someone as her best friend walked away when she was in middle school.

“Pretty Lies“ feels different than the From the ashes-series, but there is still a similar vibe. I would claim in a way it‘s darker, and in a way it isn‘t, differing on what topics you look at. Rory doesn‘t have a loving and supportive family the way Beckett and Riley have, her family aka her father is horrible, and she can only rely on herself. That‘s were the ‚Kings‘ come in, when she moves in with her dad‘s new girlfriend, making an enemy out of said girlfriends‘ son, well kind of…bully romance-style. Out of the Kings, the ‚rich boys‘ I like to call them, Caden is my favorite, maybe Jensen too. (But overall I’m not as much a fan of the rich boys) Somehow I feel like I did not get to know them equally…but maybe the following books make up for that, make me like them more and understand more what Rory sees in them – well the others aside from Caden – ? We‘ll see. However, while the Kings may rule over the new rich kid-school Rory has to enroll in, Rory has connections to the criminal side of town, where she feels more at home, and the crew members we get to meet interest me a bit more than the rich kids to be honest…characters like Skeeter, who is by far next to Rory my favorite out of them all. The story is pretty fast paced, and the plot hooked me. Though compared the the From the ashes-series it is a bit weaker in my opinion, and I fear that Rory‘s reverse harem may be little bit too much (too much guys that is), but I was aware of that beforehand. For right now, I like it a lot and am excited for the next books.
