This book is unlike any I've ever read. I can't decide whether my heart is racing with excitement or with fear. The only time I've ever felt something akin to this, was when I went bungee jumping head-first off of a bridge.
I'm stuck with the scream in my throat, and I'm terrified it will either come out and I'll never be able to stop, or that it will stay silenced there indefinitely.
I'd love to read more Lispector but am not convinced I'll have the guts to.
Five stars for scaring the existential shit out of me from the comfort of my couch.

a stream of conciousness that i understood in very brief moments but in those moments felt completely seen
Understood probably half, but I know enough to know that this is a masterpiece.

Ok, I like the writer a lot, but I feel like i didn't quite like this one?!....
It goes on and off a lot and it's a bit boring, maybe I'm missing something, maybe I'm not that smart? Kto wie?!

Read this with a bunch of other people and it bewildered all of us... Once I accepted that it was stream of consciousness and you can't take any sentence as a solid thing it was much more fun and relatable. But the whole book is about a cockroach.
