Just bouncing off Lispector’s style. She manages to successfully write an internal monologue and not leaving out the boring parts. Punctuated by these beautiful moments of lucidity and attack, but most of it reads as someone who is catatonically narrating each second of her life. I see the aping by newer writers who can’t match her prose, but ultimately I need some anger in my literature.
