Excellent. After spending some time away from Poirot, Christie brings him back in perfect form. While vacationing in a little coastal town, Poirot and Hastings (yay!) meet a young woman who appears to be a target for murder. Rather than trying to solve a crime, Poirot is in the unusual situation of trying to prevent one and capture a killer before they can succeed at their goal. It's exciting, it's perfect, with the usual, big cast of suspects and a cozy location to hunt for clues in.

I was pleased with myself for suspecting the killer, though I didn't have a strong sense of their motives, so there was still plenty to discover up to the very end.

A good mystery like always, but yet again I was wrong of who the murderer was >.<
Peril at End house by Agatha Christie get a 8/10 stars.

I quite liked this Poirot story especially as the clues were there for the reader which I always prefer in crime novels.

Update:Reread 12/17/24 I'm wondering if I should raise the rating? I think I may have liked this even better the 2nd time around and it looks like both times I finished it in one day so I was obviously very engaged.

Well, she fooled me again. Another fun adventure with the great Hercule Poirot in which I did not guess the ending even partially.
There was one little thing at the very end that slightly bothered me because I wouldn't have thought Poirot would have been ok with a particular outcome... but perhaps under the special circumstances...Anyway I don't want to spoil. But overall another good book.
