Probably not a good idea to have read this and
A Murder is Announced
back to back, given the similarities. I figured out the ending about 50 to 60 pages out. A fun page-turner.

This was a fun read; I got through it so quickly because it kept me hooked.
I didn’t call the twist/perpetrator, and I thought it was a good one!

I think as well that because there wasn’t a truckload of characters introduced all at once (unlike some other Agatha books), it didn’t feel overwhelming and it was easier to just sink into.

I love Hercule so much and this narrator does such a good job with the accent. It makes me happy every time I hear it.

I was kind of disappointed to see that it was written from Hastings' point of view instead of Poirot. I want to know what our beloved detective is thinking and feeling, not what someone else is witnessing. I want to hear his inner voice, to hear his process.

A thoroughly good read. I always enjoy Agatha Christie.
