This is probably the best of Christie's novels that I've read in a long time. The mystery was fun, the solution was not obvious and the cast was quite fun. It also doesn't have that annoying feature where the sleuth solves the crime behind the scenes and the clue was never presented before!.

The only bad thing was the constant use of "Oh he is a jew, but he is one of the good ones" types of descriptions about a character. I guess antisemitism was more open back then, but it is still not a nice thing to read.

I also recommend watching the Agatha Christie's Poirot episode.

I love all of the Poirot stories but this one is definitely one of the best. Lots of surprises at the end that I never saw coming. A must read if you’re an Agatha Christie fan.
