I had read this book before and I remembered the ending. The reading experience wasn't the best because of this. However, when I first time read the story, I liked the ending.

A well done classic Christie puzzle mystery. Once again related through Capt. Hastings’ first person narration. Several near miss accidents have befallen Nic Buckley-are these truly accidents or is someone trying to kill her? And what is the motive? For once it is Poirot, not Hastings, moved by the plight of a young, beautiful woman. Even though he is retired and on holiday Poirot comes to the aid of Nic.

One of my favorites! I recently watched the tv version, so I knew who the murderer was, and something I really enjoyed about this one was seeing how WRONG Poirot was and how RIGHT Hastings was for most of the novel! Christie poking a bit of fun at her sometimes smug and condescending sleuth? Anyway, a breezy, fun read for a cold winter's night.
