The fact that Poirot was trying to prevent a murder added a sense of urgency to this tale that I enjoyed.
As usual Agatha Christie twisted, turned and left me so far from solving the mystery that I can only shake my head in appreciation.

🔪 Everytime I read Agatha Christie (or listen in this case), I think THIS time I’m going to pay such careful attention I’ll be able to guess who it is. Once again, the queen of mystery pulled such twists I had a new theory each chapter. Brimming with red herrings.
🔪 backstories of extra characters are getting more involved, and I love the reappearance ofHastings, the small details such as his recovery of Malaria truely made his character more 3 dimensional
