Super cute summer read, I really liked it. It had enemies to lovers, close proximity, humor, fast pace, and some spice.

Going into The Catch, I had wondered if I was going to get It Happened One Summer vibes due to Mel being an influencer and Evan being a grumpy fisherman and it was definitely different, but in a good way!
Mel has been offered a paid trip to a resort in Nova Scotia, and ends up having to check into a local B&B due to a mishap with her dates. Evan does not want Mel to stay, but she convinces his cousin to let her. After an incident during a whale watching trip, Mel tells the paramedics that she is Evan's fiancé so she can go to the hospital with him, his family shows up and believes Evan is engaged. What could go wrong?
There were some sweet romance scenes with their first kiss on the swing, the one at the lighthouse and the faking dating scheme reminded me of the Proposal!

This feels like a lackluster rip off of It Happened One Summer. There wasn't enough between them to buy into this story.
