I looooove The Proposal so of course I enjoyed this. I was really worried by the direction the relationship was headed so I was very very excited by the compromise they came up with.

Idk. Something about this book just worked. I had fun. ✨⛵🌊🎣📸❤️

Melanie is an influencer who has headed to Nova Scotia for a week long content shoot hosted by a fancy hotel chain, but what she doesn’t expect is to have flown out a week earlier than her reservation, or for there to be a fishing tournament in town, or to have to stay in the only available inn in a quaint fishing village. And she especially doesn’t expect the grumpy fisherman/inn owner who is about to become her fake fiancé.

If you liked Tessa Bailey’s ‘It Happened One Summer’ then chances are you’ll enjoy this novel, too! Set in the idyllic Coral Cove, you’ll fall in love with the town, the people and the idea of moving to the middle of nowhere to run an inn (the last one might just be me).

The final book in the influence series, I enjoyed Mel and Evan’s story, but Tara and Trevor are my solid faves.

Thank you Penguin Random House and NetGalley for the ARC.

I have no idea why someone decided they needed to rewrite “While You Were Sleeping,” but they did. Definitely my least favorite of the series.

This was a cute book. I'm a sucker for a grumpy/ sunshine and fake to real trope.

I struggled to get invested in this one. It had a few things in the book that I usually love but then it also was very insta love with the whole story taking place in less than 2 weeks. It made it very hard for me to feel a connection between the characters. I liked Melanie and Evan. They're both good people with hurt pasts.

This was a cute rom-com that gave off some great While You Were Sleeping meets The Proposal vibes, which I loved. The found family was cute. The timeline is quick, but the author does a great job of making it believable-we get lots of conversations and interactions between the two main characters so that it doesn't feel insta-love at all. I felt their connection and was rooting for them.

The ending got drawn out a bit which ruined it a little for me. But overall, it was a fun rom-com with found family, grumpy-sunshine, enemies to lovers tropes.
