Soooo…everyone in this book is a horrible human being, abuser, and all around asses…??
The protagonist ’Martha’ is…the most annoying doormat I’ve ever read. And…she’s kicked out of an arcade for…playing a game…?? How does that work? She paid. She can play if she wants to.
You kind of just want to slap her….her mother is even worse. The long drawn out chapters that are basically exhaustive lists of what she does to avoid the anger of her abusive husband are just….insufferable.
