Realistically this should be a 5 star but I just couldn’t enjoy the second half of the book. Not because it wasn’t great and well written but because I kept getting hit emotionally with the trauma and man! Sure can write crazy! Trigger warnings all through this don’t try and read of your a softie like me. Great writing but I checked out after one too many traumatic events. Mind, they all were important story builders and well written and then kept the story moving and built the world and the history, but I coulda done with like 5 less of them for real. There’s a book too and I know I can’t even without a very length break. This is my first horror in years and I see why I don’t read it. But if you enjoy horror you’ll probably love this.
