This books was really quite wonderful. I didn't expect myself to feel so emotional at the end, but I definitely was moved to tears. I was not expecting a dementia storyline however, so if that is something you are sensitive to, I'd recommend looking more into the trigger warnings.

This is my favourite of Poston's books. Music means so much to me and this book explored having a passion for music so well. And a book with dementia representation will always tug at my heartstrings. The balance between endearing plot and characters and laugh-out-loud humour was perfect, and I loved that the chapter titles were all famous songs. This will be one of my favourite books of the year!

This might be my favorite Ashley Poston yet. She throws back to previous characters. She writes so you have an idea of what needs to happy. But still throws in some twists with her dual universe style writing.

I'm a bit heartbroken to be honest. I think I'm going to retire from reading Ashley Posten 😢

I absolutely adored The Seven Year Switch and The Dead Romantics. But after A Novel Love Story and now this, I just feel like the magic from her first books just isn't there for me anymore.

I knew that this was going to be meh when I upped the audio speed to 2x at about 60% through to push through it. There were some sweet moments in this, but overall it feel like there was so much having plot wise and yet also nothing. I had an idea of how the telepathy magical realism would work, but I couldn't get past trying to figure out the "rules" of when they could and couldn't hear each other.
