It was very interesting to see the Kenyan culture and how the war affected black people. Considering it's his first book , I am very amazed and motivated by Ngugi wa Thiong'o. I loved this so much and I am going to read all of his other books. Literally a 5 star for this book.

More a revolutionary leaflet than a novel, in both length and tone.
