Mistborn era 2 is never going to be my absolute favorite of Sanderson's, mostly because I'm less interested in the setting, and the characters don't all do it for me. That being said, I still love the way the scale of this world continues to grow. It does feel like a lot of developments went over my head due to the fact that I haven't tackled any of the Stormlight books yet. There's clearly a lot of implications about the cosmere as a whole, and it was fun seeing this all come together, but I imagine the impact of this, as well of my own enjoyment of these reveals, would have been heightened with more context than what I had.
My main other issue with this book as the conclusion to era 2 is that it felt less like a conclusion and more like a bridge between era 1 and a future era 3. I don't necessarily see this as a bad thing, but unfortunately this final book didn't quite land as an actual conclusion to me, at least not in the way that The Hero of Ages did.
I still greatly enjoyed the book despite this all, and all of this newly gained knowledge on the cosmere has only made me want to read more of Sanderson's works now. Interconnected universes are so fun to me and he seems to be doing a good job tying everything together as of now at least. My opinions on this book might even change as I continue on through the rest of what he's written so far.

Pain.
BrandoSando is taking the gloves off for the Cosmere and it’s getting really exciting. So much to take in from this book, and for the most part it sticks the landing.
Heartbreaking/heartwarming finale, Era 2 really does go out with a bang l
