Don't expect much from this book in terms of plot or character growth. The plot was actually interesting, but most of the second half was the characters having sex and nothing else really happening. I would've been fine with that but the main characters often made sexist comments and there was some vague biphobia that made me dislike Wes a lot. I wish there was more time spent on the exploring the characters as people.

Also I really didn't need to hear that much detail about their sex as teens. I could've gotten the highlights.

Ehh, unfortunately this did not live up to the hype for me. This was like 90% smut without any real sense that the characters had romantic chemistry, and no plot.

Despite having a long history together, once the MC's started hooking up, (around the 20% mark) it honestly felt like they were just doing it out of boredom, and the romance never progressed from there.

There were occasional moments of the fun banter I love in the Off-Campus series, and I enjoyed the first part of this for the most part. However for me, the lack of romantic chemistry/development, along with a bunch of random casual misogyny (from both MC's) and biphobia (from Wes) -both of which went unchallenged- really spoiled the reading experience for me here.

So. Elle Kennedy is undoubtedly one of the worst current, more famous authors out there.

The book was fine, readable, up until the casual misogyny, racism (that I assume both authors shouldn't have written in) and homophobia, coupled with multiple f-slurs (which also- authors, queer or not- shouldn't have tried to reclaim). What really made me lose it was at 95% of my ebook, where one of the characters says, and I quote, "I could announce I wanted to live my life as a transsexual vampire yeti, and they’d still say ‘Oh, Jamie. You’re so cute.’" I might be reading too much into this, but since when is being trans- (-sexual or -gender) a bad thing? Where one shouldn't need the love they deserve for being who they are? Which is also a big plot of the book, being queer and homophobia. The irony.

Anyways, this book really... sucked. But seriously. Making being trans out to be a bad thing was the cherry on top.

Ugh, I loved it. Not much in the way of plot or much else other than gooey pining, excellent chemistry, and silent (and then vocalized) love confessions. It was a perfect, short and sweet read.
