Cute, but the start was a trek to get through. I wouldn’t recommend it compared to her other, much better, books.

Mhairi can do no wrong in my book!! I love all her books. Read them all back to back and cannot get enough. I love her characters and the faults she gives them, I love how she includes other life problems and events in her stories and that they are elaborated on and woven into the romance story. I like romances, who doesn’t?, but the way this author makes it about love and life is very refreshing and true to reality. She makes me LOVE romance novels.

Another highly enjoyable British romantic comedy from Mhairi McFarlane. Two leads who genuinely respect each other and have fun together. Good friend group. In this one the "villain" of the piece also has elements of her "type" and no one has just gotten out of a longer term relationship. Just lots of recognizable human behavior that is the hallmark of good comedy.
