While I love the book, I do think there was something lost in audiobook vs physical book, but I liked it so much I’d be interested in seeing the physical book and flipping through it!

As with many nonfiction books written for general audiences, I found myself appreciating the information and the overall shape of the narrative while being immensely irritated by the repetition of facts that had already been told.

A really fascinating nonfiction book about the dawn of plastic surgery. It honestly made me think differently about the entire field. I think Fitzharris did a good job balancing the idea of this man being a true gamechanger in his field without painting him as an isolated genius who didn't need/want to rely on anyone. Gillies honestly just seemed like a really rad dude all around.
