Love the characters and the energy of the book — it’s definitely quirky and probably not for everyone, but it’s super for me. That being said, the third act breakup makes me unbelievably mad every time.
They haven’t been dating that long, she’s having a panic attack, she asks for space, and he’s offended???? And SHE has to apologize to HIM???? Was “I’ll call you in a week” a bit much? Sure. But she was having a panic attack!!!! I do not think she should have to apologize for asking for space/not letting him take care of her. I think she should apologize for pushing him away IN GENERAL and he should apologize for pushing himself on her while (I can’t reiterate this enough) SHE WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF A PANIC ATTACK!

I could tell the author was about my age because of all of the cultural references and I enjoyed her slightly different stream of consciousness writing style!

I just didn’t really like this book at all. I thought Nina was annoying and there were a lot of loose ends/storylines

It’s quirky, enlightening, entertaining and fun. For anyone, whose a fan of Abbi Waxman’s other book The Garden of Small Beginnings you will definitely enjoy this one about Nina Hill, book lover, planner, fact lover and cat lover. In so many ways I found myself relating to the character of Nina in her interests, love of reading and quirks.

I recommend anyone whose bookish and a little quirky themselves to pick it up and give a good read, you will not be disappointed.
