This is definitely a thriller with a psychological bend. If you listen to it, it's even more twisty. The narrators are excellent and bring the story to life. One of the male characters is the most repulsive character I've ever read. Massive trigger warning for very graphic descriptions of domestic violence.
Graphic: Domestic abuse and Car accident

I think this is a good thriller but not the best or most memorable. It’s a good starting book for mystery thrillers.

I Let You Go is a fantastic , superbly executed debut psychological mystery by author Clare Mackintosh. It is one that kept me awake late at night and I finished it in one sitting. 5 year old Jacob lets go of his mother's hand for a brief moment and is killed by a car . The driver of the car flees the scene of crime and the mom is left with guilt and remorse .We are introduced to Jenna Gray who is trying to rebuild her life in a village of Penfach. Then there is DI Ray Stevens who is going through a family crisis but vows to bring the killer to justice .
The book flows beautifully from Part 1 to Part 2 and the transition completely blindsided me . Overall a great book and cannot wait to read more by this author
