Book was sold to me as a feel good exploration of queer love, I would say it doesn’t deliver. Explores a toxic/domestic violence relationship, I wanted to root for the main character but found them insufferable.

I really enjoyed this book! The main character really is thrown into the deep end of her experience with lesbianism.

However, it must be said that I think this book was promoted in the wrong way. Promoted as ‘sexy’, while it does have a lot of sex scenes in it, it is mostly with the main character and the person who abuses her.

I would not read this if abusive relationships are a trigger for you.

Really enjoyed it. It was laugh out loud funny but also serious and sad. I enjoyed Julia’s character development and loved her exploring her sexuality, it was non judgemental and felt freeing. Of course there were times it was incredibly frustrating but that was part of her development.
Istg if Sam was real, it would be on sight! 🥊

Great Pride month read though 🙂‍↕️🏳️‍🌈

I see where this book is going, and I will not be joining. If you want to read a book about a woman in a midlife crisis realising she's a lesbian & jumping into a very abusive and manipulative relationship then just being mistreated for what I can only assume will be the rest of the book go ahead. Be prepared for sex, so much sex, fisting and whatever else. It just wasn't an enjoyable book, the FMC drove me up the walls, it just felt empty

Not a book for me I don't think, more of a queer joy kinda girl
