Loved the complexity revealed about Jake and Tink. Loved that we didn’t just abandon Peter / Hook and Wendy in this book. Also really enjoyed the twist of the Greek mythologies and the layers there!

DNF chapter 18/50

I was so excited for this book, but the further I've progressed with this audiobook the less I'm enjoying it.
Maxine Mitchell and Joe Arden do fantastic jobs at narrating these characters however!

The more the Greek mythology was brought in, (and Arthurian legends?!) the more I was physically cringing every few minutes. Book 1 was such a beautiful dark retelling of Peter Pan and Wendy, but imo it should have ended there. Was this book necessary? Def's not

And, we're back in Neverland, bookies! I have been so excited waiting on this one, and it was so worth the wait!!! I absolutely adore these stories!

If you love our beloved childhood fairytale of 𝐏𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐚𝐧, π“π’π§π€πžπ« 𝐁𝐞π₯π₯ & π–πžπ§ππ², hold on to your seats, bookies. π™΄πšŸπšŽπš•πš’πš— π™Όπš˜πš—πšπšπš˜πš–πšŽπš›πš’ takes on the fairytale with a masterful hand, throwing us a story that is filled with twists, turns, spice, and oh so much more! Her world building with these stories is phenomenal!

Jake & Tink are rivaling for my favorite character spots with this story. I didn't like them in the first books, but oh how that is changing quickly! I loved them so hard in this one! The shades of grey π™Όπš˜πš—πšπšπš˜πš–πšŽπš›πš’ adds to our beloved fairytale is absolutely breathtaking and addictive!

π‘€π‘Žπ‘₯𝑖𝑛𝑒 π‘€π‘–π‘‘π‘β„Žπ‘’π‘™π‘™'𝑠 ability to voice multiple characters and bring them all to the life is incomparable. She does it magnificently and made me feel all of the emotions of heartbreak, love and passion. π½π‘œπ‘’ π΄π‘Ÿπ‘‘π‘’π‘›'𝑠 ability to go from unhinged villian to sweet & lovable in the blink of an eye is one of the many reasons he's a favorite for me. Pairing this king & Queen of narrations together is always welcomed! They were perfect for the job!

This is one audiobook/book I'll be turning to again and again. It's one I will forever recommend! If you love your fairytales a bit dirtier, a bit grayer, a bit more unhinged, then π™΄πšŸπšŽπš•πš’πš— π™Όπš˜πš—πšπšπš˜πš–πšŽπš›πš’'𝚜 π—Ÿπ—Όπ˜€π˜ π—•π—Όπ˜†π˜€ π—¦π—²π—Ώπ—Άπ—²π˜€ is where it's at, folks!

I never in my lifetime could've imagined a new dimension could be added to Barrie's classic Peter Pan, yet here we are. Thank god for writers like evelyn who think outside the box, always intrigued by shades of grey. In Losing Neverland we met all the Lost Boys. And at that point i hated Tink and Jake. But in this book, evelyn takes us to the back story or past years to show us what shaped them into who they are
Everything is not what it seems at all. I started liking Jake, his sweet side, his softer heart.
Peter, i had a hard time loving because his villainous side comes out to play.
Joe arden can switch back and forth from a loving arduous hero to nefarious villain in seconds and that made this audiobook phenomenal. He is matched tone to tone, tear by tear, heartbreak by heartbreak by queen Maxine. They both can actually narrate every book and still do a damn good job
Evelyn mixes greek mythology in with fairy tale, adding extra spice.
This is definitly an escapism into dark forests of neverlanf. Evelyn uses words to bring every aspect of Neverland settings alive vividly. Fantasticread.
5 stars for mermaids, gidgets and crocs

I loved this book so much. I love how spicy and dark the romance aspect is in the book. I loved the Greek mythology mixed in with the peter pan retelling. The story was so full and dynamic, and I couldn’t feel bored for even a second. The character development with all the characters was so good. I didn’t think I’d ever really like Jake or Tink but wow, I really felt so connected to them by the end of the story. Amazon has marked the reading age from 13-18 but I would say that it felt a little too dark for me to consider it that young, I would say 16 or 17+. Anyways, I really loved it, 5 out of 5 stars.

Thank you for the ARC, Evelyn Montgomery.

β€œBroken things don’t always mend when you try and put them back together. Sometimes, they only break more.”

β€œBut being broken isn’t the same as breaking, in my past I’ve been shattered, crushed, splintered into a million pieces against my will. It’s what fueled my corruption. The vile, wicked things I’ve done to protect myself.”

β€œEvery villain is a hero in their own mind.”

β€œBesides, winning doesn’t always mean being first. Sometimes, it’s about making sure you’re in control last.”

This is such a good dark romantacy retelling of Tinker Bells story by Evelyn Montgomery. There is angst, suspense, vengeance twists and turns and so many players in the game you didn’t expect. It’s so engaging keeping me on the edge of my seat. It’s so well written, so descriptive and intense! Tinks and Jake’s is the story I didn’t know I needed. I was not expecting to have a change of heart for these two characters but Evelyn accomplished it. This is definitely worth the read! Highly recommend!!!
