This one is told through three points of view - Chloe (a divorcee who clearly isn't at peace with herself), Dean (a single dad who got himself in some issues businesswise that has upended his life), and an unknown person.
Things take a turn when these three overlap.
The first half of this book was sooo slow going. Once the reunion hit, things picked up. Some plot twists, but saw most of them coming.
An enjoyable read but didn't really have me on the edge of my seat or surprised.
Many thanks to NetGalley and Thomas and Mercer for an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Chloe Flynn is a divorced woman who is regretting her life choices, when she receives an invitation to her high school reunion. Chloe wasn't planning on attending. After she meets up with an old friend and finds out that her old crush is attending, she decides why not show up for a little fun. Despite receiving nasty, threatening emails before the event, she still decides to go, with hope that a romance may occur with Nathan. What she doesn't know is that everyone has their own reason for coming to the reunion and that revenge is a common theme.
Shalini Boland tells the story of The School Reunion from multiple viewpoints. Initially, it was a little difficult to get immersed in the story but when you get to the night of the reunion, everything speeds up quickly. You may think that you have the story figured out but I assure you that you do not know how this story is going to go as there are surprises everywhere. I was shocked several times in this story as I thought it was going in a completely different direction.
Thanks to Netgalley and Thomas and Mercer for the advance copy of the book. The opinions are my own.

Honestly this book was terrible. The characters, plot, twists all terrible. There’s only so many times an author can write “I couldn’t believe it but” before a plot point before they should say actually yeah I can’t believe it because it’s not at all realistic.
Chloe is invited to her school reunion. She wants to go 15 years later so she can see her crush from 15 years ago. But then there’s loads of secrets and shit gets dramatic.
The characters were too conveniently interconnected that it wasn’t believable. I can’t even begin to describe the absolute carnage that was the plot because I don’t want to spoil it for you all but like ??????????? Was what I just read a Reddit post with someone doing Minecraft parkour behind it??????
On the up side I read it in one sitting so it’s pretty easy to read.

A school reunion is the perfect opportunity to show off to your old schoolmates. To prove how successful you've become, what you've achieved in your life. But when the invite to her reunion drops in her emails, Chloe is horrified, after all she feels she hasn't achieved much, recently divorced hasn't got a high powered job why would she put herself through it. But she changes her mind at the thought of meeting up with a guy from school she always had a crush on.
Dean isn't happy, he has money worries and a feud with a successful business man. Will his life change for the better.
As with all the Shalini Boland books I've read this was a quick page turner, the build up of the story and characters some you know and a mysterious voice. On the night of the reunion it soon becomes apparent that past secrets are going to be revealed

Chloe has recently been divorced and feeling a bit lonely. She doesn’t have any friends on her own. The ones she had were mostly connected to her ex- husband Ben and the relationship she has wit her mother is not the most caring one. So, when she receives an invitation for a school reunion, she is reluctant to go at first, as she was bullied at school. But she takes no heed, and she thinks it might be a fresh start she needs and might meet Nathan who she had a crush on, fifteen years previously. But she starts getting apprehensive when she also gets a threatening email telling her that she shouldn’t go to the reunion. What do they want and why?
I am kicking myself that I haven’t read much of this authors work. Because ‘The School Reunion’ is a fabulous read. This is gripping and full of suspense and keeps to guessing who is threatening her right to the end. With a twist at the end left me wanting more. Is there another episode to this story? I hope so. 5 stars me.

A newly divorced Chloe steps out of her comfort zone and attends her school reunion to rekindle old relationships. However, after reuniting with friends, secrets are revealed that she wishes would stay in her past.
This book was a miss for me. I was so excited to read it based on the description, but I found it to be slow when I thought it would be fast-paced and I also thought the plot was very far-fetched, unrealistic, and underdeveloped. Despite this, I did enjoy the fact that the story was told with a dual narrative and I liked the setting of the school reunion. Overall, this book just wasn’t for me, but I think it could be enjoyed by readers who are able to overlook believability in thrillers.
