This is only the second historical fiction book that I have completed. I want this genre to be for me, but I struggle to get into it. I did really enjoy the main character of this book. She was flawed and real and funny and the banter that came from her mouth had me giggling often. I would concur that the description of Bridgerton meets Gossip Girl very much fits!

I really enjoyed reading about regency era young people who are rebellious and stupid and reckless; I loved the wit and the humour, and I loved many of the characters. This plot of the book fell a little short and I wish I could explain why.... I'll edit this review when I can express my thoughts more clearly.

It is truly like Lex opened a window into my brain and saw what would be in my dream novel. I lol’d, I wept, I *gripped* the book at many points and said ‘NO!!’ out loud. The balance between the darker issues touched on, and the moreish nature of Georgiana’s escapades was pitched perfectly. I cannot wait to see what comes next from this author.
