Excellent as an American history assay. Only acceptable as a fiction/action/thriller book.
Probably the worst of Dan Brown so far.

Surprisingly enjoyable, with a twist at the end I definitely wasn't expecting. A well read audiobook too!
Just have one thing to say... That twist was gooooood.
Amazing. Love Dan Brown and everything of his I've ever read. One of the things that make Brown's books so readable is that they read like screenplays. You can literally SEE the action as you read. He never gives you time to settle too long on one part of the story-line and, as each new twist in the story hooks you, it's not long before you can't put it down.
I know that there is some controversy about the subject matter of his books in the past, but the man does his research. I prefer to read his books sitting at a computer because on nearly every page there is information that I want to look up or verify.
If you're looking for an entertaining, exciting read, look no further.

Fans of Dan Brown will not be disappointed by this third installment of his “unofficial” Robert Langdon series. I’m not sure what it was about this book, (maybe it was the size of the text and the mere length of it) but it seemed to take forever to get through. That being said though, it was in no way a hard read. It did take some time for the action to pick up, but once it did it didn’t stop!
Working closely with the CIA, Langdon and Katherine Solomon not only try to track down a psycho killer who kidnapped Peter Solomon, a Master of the Mason, but also try to meet his apparently impossible demands. If Langdon and Katherine do not provide the man with what he wants, not only may Peter die, but the great secrets of the Masons may be leaked.
As with all the other Langdon books, this book is a work of fiction with some rue facts trickled throughout. I would advise all readers to keep this in mind. There are some things in this book, as in The Davinci Code, that may make you want to say hmmmmm…please keep an open mind and take this book for what it is…FICTION!
Happy reading!
