I love when spinoff sequels set in the same world somehow feel smaller despite the expansion. I love when nothing permanently happens to the main character the entire duration of the novel. I love when the twist is hinted at in early chapters once then never given breadcrumbs until the final reveal. I love an obvious dip in writing quality compared to the original because Wren is an alien in the world of Black's girls. I love doomed yaoi.
