I really enjoyed this. It was a great reminder.

Lovely book on hygge! Hygge is a wonderful Danish concept/lifestyle surrounding feelings of coziness. This book includes lots of tidbits on what hygge is and how you can include more hygge in your life.

cute and cozy for this time of year…nothing special though, a bit too long & repetitive and nothing I didn‘t know already…it‘s basically the same as/similar to the concept of „slow living“ & mindfulness, but this book felt very privileged with all the „things you should buy to feel hygge“ and „going to the cabin“/„going sailing“, like bruv I don‘t have that kind of money yet lol...

It was an easy book to read. Very interesting but I found it a bit repetitive at some point.
informative inspiring slow-paced

Such a cute little book! I love reading books about other cultures and this one was a very good authority on Hygge. It was a lot of fun to read and find that unlike other books I have read, I already have a pretty Hyggely life. If I had a friend who wanted to know more about the Danish phenomenon Hygge I would definitely give them this book.

A short, cute coffee table book, but nothing memorable.
informative slow-paced

Repetitive, basically a skim read

Love. Such a great look at hygge, what it is, and why it's important. I really loved this book.

I've been enjoying the cozy aesthetics of my favourite Bookstagrammer @shewalksinfiction for a couple of years now - her love for sepia tones, rustic cottagecore elements, a good read and a warm bevvie. I see an increase in interest amongst my younger friends for ASMR and scented candles. These are all things I naturally gravitate towards, without ever questioning why.
This little book - a milestone birthday gift from my darling husband, provided the answer in one word: hygge. The Danish idea of comfort, belonging and 'coziness', all tied to this happiest of nations. What are the secrets behind a lifetime of joy?
Part photo book, part recipe book, with little lists and fun infographics woven together with a little bit of ethnography, reading this itself was hygge. Did I come away illuminated? A little, although so much of the advice is only applicable if you're a financially secure, able-bodied cisgender white man, there's useful wisdom here that one can apply to one's life, no matter where one is. Save this for when you need a cheery pick-me-up!
