Munro pinpoints the exact moments of bemusement in one's life during which the foundations are rumbling and shifting yet will not be recognized until it's too late, and the fragments become a whole before your eyes. She captures, beyond the inanity of my phrasing, reality as it is.

Most of these short stories changed my life in some small way. Sharp, and soft, and genius but not overwrought.

I was never one for short stories, except for Ray Bradbury, and he is still my favorite. The more collections I read: Stefan Zweig, James Joyce, Tolstoy, and now Alice Munro, I am beginning to think that I've had it wrong all this time.

Just lovely.

Sinceramente, no me gustó.

I usually love the texts by Munro as well as short stories in general, but this time I felt I would have preferred to read more about these characters, not only these fragmental pieces.

Enjoyed some stories. But not my favourite of Alice Munros books.
