The book starts off with stalker-thriller energy.
Hua Cheng's pottery barn is unveiled by Mu Qing and Feng Xing. Xie Lian is just blushing and going "ooooh I have a fan." the whole time hehe.

The later 2/3 of the book goes over
The white-clothed Calamity, White No-Face, Wuming, and Xie Lian's second ascension.

Help me
Help me, help me, help me.
Help me, help me, help, help, help, help, help, help, help, help, help, help, help, help, help, help me!
It hurts, it hurts, it hurts, it hurts, it hurts, it hurts...it hurts, it hurts, it hurts, it hurts, it hurts, it hurts, it hurts, it hurts, it hurts, it hurts, IT HURTS, IT HURTS, IT HURTS, IT HURTS, IT HURTS, IT HURTS, IT HURTS, IT HURTS, IT HURTS, IT HURTS, IT HURTS, IT HURTS, IT HURTS, IT HURTS, IT HURTS!
Why can't I die?
WHY CAN'T I DIE?!
page 256

The book concludes with the
creation of Ruoye
,
rise of the white-clothed Calamity
and the
death of Wuming.

4.5

The cutoff between the last book and this one seemed rather abrupt especially since a flash back arc begins after the main scene ends and is the majority of content.  The back story packed a punch and it was tempered in knowing that the future has hope.  It was good to finally learn how certain things came about and happened.
