"Hey, the cover scene happened at about

15-20%

of the book, that's neat" I said, clueless, not knowing I was about to read the (so far, at least) darkest book in the series.

The way I gasped at the whole second backstory it's almost embarrassing. It does only make me ever more interested in whatever is going to happen in the present and why in the fuck is White No-face so obsessed over Xie Lian in particular.

That said, the darkness of it all almost made me forget that

they confessed as best as they could without saying the exact words. It's canon now. My life is in jumbles right now, I believe in love again.

I'm still flabbergasted, tho.

He really went full Joker in the past.
