Such a wonderful, clean, Hallmark-y, enemies to lovers rom com. Very similar to the growth ark in The Proposal, this story is one of finding yourself by realizing you’re your own worst enemy. The only thing I wished would have been different was the character shift in Brynn being earlier in the book. 3/4th of her snotty attitude was almost too much for me.

I liked this romance more than I thought I would, because I don't usually read G rated romances. I really liked the Colorado setting (having lived there for a long time). The beauty of the place and the down-to-earth centered-ness of the small town folks felt very real. The pop culture references throughout the book were also really fun. The biggest drawback from my perspective was the main female character who I really didn't like for the majority of the book. It might have worked better for me if we got hints of her backstory earlier so that we could sympathize with her more.

I would recommend this to readers who like clean small-town romances.

Brynn and Sebastian left me with a smile on my face when I finished the book, but there were some hard earned moments along the way. After Brynn makes an accidentally on-air comment about her home town, her career is on the verge of being dust. After getting back to her hometown, we learn about what caused her to say the comment in the first place. For me, it doesn't completely track, her quickly found happiness to be home compared with the truly mean things she said previously. That aside, her chemistry with Sebastian is great and they bring out the best in each other!

Such a good book. I appreciate that it’s a sweet rom-com rather than a spicy one. Bethany Turner has a way of writing something meaningful without making it so deep that it’s emotionally jarring. Both main characters are witty, clever, and easy to like. Bethany seems to easily give depth to each individual character the reader encounters. Will continue to read anything she writes!

I enjoyed the story. It was a smooth and nice audiobook. I like the main characters, enemies-to-lovers vibe with classic rom-com energy. I would recommend it.

When sunny morning-show host Brynn accidentally slams the small town she is from on live television, her reputation goes down in flames. To make good with the people in her small town that she scrutinized, the TV network sends her back there with a cameraman to apologize and earn forgiveness, all so she can return to her morning show. Sebastian doesn’t expect to be babysitting the star but he’ll do what he has to in order to bring some positive attention to the small town he loves.

The fighting between the characters was great and necessary. Sebastian was good at reading Brynn and calling her out on her bullshit, which she definitely needed. He was really smart and caring, and I’m a bit surprised as to how he fell for Brynn.

For a woman in her late thirties, Brynn was a bit too immature and whiny for my taste. She came off as bratty and spoiled, which was kind of annoying. It really bothered me when she compared Sebastian’s war zone journalism to her being at Macy’s on a Black Friday and saying she knew about war zones too. Overall her character development lacked growth.

It also seemed really strange that Brynn’s POV was in the first person but Sebastian’s POV was in the third person.

If you can look past that, you may enjoy this book. I for one, didn’t. I was really excited about this enemies-to-lovers book, but ultimately it just fell flat.

very cute!

With the title you instantly know who the main characters are Brynn and Sebastian. This has is a clean fun story. Brynn who I couldn't love in the beginning is a host on a morning talk show, Sunup. On her first week, she is caught on air saying rude and degrading things about her home town. She has to fix it or lose her job. At this point, I just wasn't sure that I was going to like Brynn, she just wasn't a likeable person considering she was supposed to be our sunny and funny gal. Now Sebastian, our grumpy hometown guy was lovable and just drew you into laughing at his side of the story. But wait they hate each other.......yup! They just clash right away. Brynn's attitude is annoying but hang in there. As the story unfolds you will learn a lot about why she is this way. Sebastian's grumpy attitude, but honestly I didn't blame him, was incredibly adorable. And well we need to remember Orly, the camera man, who knows both of them.

This story does start slow, but watch out it will gain momentum and take off for a flying ending. The point of view written from Bryan's is first person. Sebastian's is written in third person. This is a usual way of switching between our two main characters. It is a clean romance. I would recommend it for someone looking for a quick & clean romance to read.

This is my personal opinion on this book. I received a complimentary copy of the e-book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Brynn and Sebastian Hate Each Other was a good read! The plot was interesting and I loved the descriptions of the setting! It makes me want to take a trip to the mountains! The characters are flawed and likable and there are plenty of interesting and amusing conversations! Overall it was a fun read!
