This was the perfect cozy mystery for quarantine winter!! I loved every second of it and enjoyed the weird twists and turns, especially the final big plot twist.
Outdated expressions are always to be expected in Agatha Christie novels but I laughed out loud when Tuppence called a child “a prick” as a compliment.
Listened to the audio version on Phoebe Reads A Mystery, would like Phoebe Judge to read every book to me.

Tuppence and Tommy were honestly not very likeable at the start of the book, but I enjoyed this somewhat-humorous take on a mystery.

This story made me so angry, these two just trusted everyone they met who seemed like a good guy. I suspected the villain for most of the book and couldn’t figure out why they kept trusting him. The plot got hard to follow in much of the second half and because of that and It was a bit of a chore to keep reading. That said, the ending was enjoyable and the snappy dialogue while a little much sometimes was fun which saved the book from a worse rating.
Fun and entertaining all the way through, and though the plot required more than a little suspension of disbelief, I for one was fully willing. I loved Tommy and I loved Tuppence even more.
