Ik hou echt van haar schrijven en de tovenaars wereld. Ik vind het heel mooi hoe Newt met die dieren omgaat.

I enjoyed this! It was a quick read (screenplays usually are) and it makes me even more excited to see all the visuals come to life. The story didn't go the way I thought it would and that was a nice surprise, though I'm a bit annoyed by the cliffhanger ending and lack of a resolution. This felt like FB was a prologue and that this was the first chapter of the actual story. Anyway, I did like the setup. I also felt like Rowling is writing this for adults. She knows her audience have grown up and is writing to them now.

About the book itself: freaking gorgeous! The cover, illustrations, page frames, and types are all astoundingly beautiful. I borrowed the copy I read from TPL and the whole read through, I kept thinking I want to own this lovely little book. It's eye catching and is just as beautiful inside.

So: Four stars for the story, the additional star for the book itself. Perfection.

We're back in Hogwarts!
I know that many people didn't like CoG as a film and while I do understand some of the points I got to say that I absolutely loved it, espacially after reading the screenplay and watching it a second time.
I really enjoy Screenplays as a medium and love to see how they are made into a movie.
What I find so fascinating about this one is, how you can still see Rowlings writing stile through the very minimalistic dialouges. I think her charm and the magic from the Harry Potter books really show in this one as well and it makes me extremely happy reading it, it truely feels like coming home.
The plot is very interesting and has a lot of tension, most of the old characters have really interesting developments and I also liked most of the new ones. I also love Grindelwald as an Antagonist and actually enjoy him a little bit more than Voldemort in the end, just because the fact that he is able to love and still does such terrible things makes him even more interesting, but he's also very persuasive and doesn't just try to reign with fear like Voldemort did, but convinces people who aren't radical at all to join him for their own matters which also is a very current problem.
I really recommend reading the screenplay or at least watch the movie a second time, even if you didn't like it that much, because there is so much going on that you can't possibly get everything at the first time.
The last thing isn't important to the quality of the book itself, but I just got to say that I absolutely loved the desing and the paintings in it, it's beautifully done and makes it even more precious to me.

V kině mě film uhranul a ani jsem nedutala, ale jak to vidím napsané, nevím, nevím :D Některé dialogy mi moc nedávají smysl. Ale to nic nemění na tom, že jsem zase dostala chuť se na to podívat. ♥

Not a fan of the screenplay format. That aside, the storyline wasn’t as intriguing to me as the first book. I basically read it to just get it over with. I hope the secrets of Dumbledore is better!
