This was my first romance novella not written by Courtney Milan. Reading it, I discovered that I like Courtney Milan, but don't particularly like romance. This was a sweet, feel-good Christmastime story. It just wasn't for me.
HALP I have even taking to reading the novellas in this series! I love a “lover returns from years away in disguise” premise and this one had the addition of some very spicy reunion sex. Fun all around!
The assignment: a holiday romance. There really wasn't anything "holiday" about the story. If you missed what night the ball occurred on and the one "Merry Christmas" you wouldn't know.
