good but not Martinez's strongest piece. I figured out the ending way too early.

Wishing I could do 3 1/2 stars. I suspect for many it's a case of love this or hate this. I've found it hard to classify (and rate) but I suspect this book will stick with me for a long time to come on account of its quirkiness.

My analogy doesn't serve the fact it is a well written book, but the best description of this book - a B grade pulp sci fi movie - where it knows what it is and has fun with it and does it very well.

Just an all around silly book. Very fun to read when you need a break from all the harsh realities of life.

This was kind of absurd and fun but in my opinion it should have been even more absurd-er. Anyone buying this book knows that it's supposed to be funny just from the title, but it really wasn't that funny. The author's humor reminds me a lot of my own humor when I write but there just wasn't enough of it. So it seemed like he/she took the book too seriously, much of the time it read like regular sci-fi but that wasn't what I wanted or expected. I wanted to laugh at a zany, ridiculous sci-fi romp.

Then there was time travel involved and I hate time travel so that didn't help. BUT it still gets 3 stars because I did enjoy it.

Hitchhiker's Guide meets Doctor Who meets Rick and Morty. This was an entertaining wacky little book.
