I read a review on here about how Emilia talks too much about food and I thought they were just being over dramatic, but tbh there is quite a bit of description on food. I mean Italians are notorious for good food so I didn’t really mind.
I loved the chemistry between Wrath and Emilia. It was tense at parts but overall such an interesting bond. However the part where they’re making out and it’s all steamy she all of a sudden decides to bring up the question if all Wrath wants is her soul. Like okay just dump a bucket of ice on us all.
Regardless of all the little details I was very invested in the book and loved how the sins were portrayed. The way Emilia had more “wrath” than Wrath himself was interesting to say the least.
Would read again 100% my new comfort novel.

I enjoyed the story. There's definitely things that I needed to be worked on. It's not heavily romance which I wish there was a bit more would have made more enjoyable. Had plenty of violence and drama which was good but she's a fledgling witch so she's kind of useless. She gets through it mainly by luck and having the demon help her out. I like the concept of the world and that's what's keeping me in the story and also the cliffhanger at the end.

can't wait for the next one. I hope it doesn't end on such a huge cliff hanger like this one did.
Updated this from 4 to 5 stars because 7 months later I'm still thinking about it and longing for book 2
This entire series was astounding.
I inhaled these books. I was not expecting to adore them the way that I do, but these became my Roman Empire.
I adored the FMC, Emelia. It felt like she was strong and resilient, yet soft and pliable. She gained a lot of footing in the first book.
Wrath. Is. Bae.
I’m so glad I read these. The biblical accuracy, the intelligence, the absolute plot line spins.
This book has everything you need.
