At this point in time, I am not even surprise anymore on how amazing this book would turn out. Regardless of this being a novella with a very short and quick read, it didn't make Eddie Flynn series less of a masterpiece. Feels like a broken record for saying this countless times, but I truly truly loved and adored every single book of this series so much! Will always praise Eddie's clever mind until the end of time!

Enjoyed this short book. First by this author but it won’t be my last. Short and punchy.

After reading Thirteen and being completely drawn in, I decided I must read the Eddie Flynn series by Cavanagh!! The Cross is a Novella, a very short and sweet thriller introducing us to Eddie Flynn.
Eddie and his partner Jack are battling against the NYPD after a cop has killed a suspect criminal with a chokehold - an action forbidden in the NYPD. Going up against both the accused officer and the force as a whole, Eddie has to prove this officer is guilty of an unlawful killing, but without revealing the whole truth of the operation which would put a lot of people’s lives in danger.
I can see already that Eddie Flynn is going to be an addictive character to read. By using his con-man past to trick the smartest in his line of work, Flynn always has something up his sleeve. This fast paced and easy to read novella was highly enjoyable and I’m looking forward to diving into The Defense!
