Pey works an office job, except the office is in hell and his job is to make deals for human’s souls.

The book is told from the perspective of Pey, as well as several members of the Harrison family, who Pey is tracking to make a 5th generation deal.

Pey’s perspective is like he’s actually telling the reader a story, which works really well with some of the humor in the book. I wouldn’t call this book scary, although it’s classified as a horror, but it’s hell so there are definitely darker topics throughout (see content warnings if that’s a possible concern).

This was quick and mostly enjoyable to read, but some of it left me feeling a little...bleh. As the parent of a childhood cancer survivor I don't know if I'll ever get over the use of it in books. I know this book is totally in fun, but what an awful universe to live in where the only bargain you can make is with the devil to save your dying child. That's hell on earth. If that topic is not personal to you I'm sure this book will be a fun ride.
