Definitely not for everyone (read the trigger warnings!) but WOW this gripped me. The comparisons to The Good Place are absolutely right — though this really had some weight to it beyond the comedy. Plot twists galore and a truly satisfying ending.

this book is like a coming of age, comedy, mystery, drama all wrapped up into one, i honestly liked it more than i thought i might.
okay i really loved following the Harrison’s story and even peyotes. cals story seems like it doesn’t fully work idk. i think that this could have easily been a 5 star if the stories had melded a bit more and not felt so disjointed. i also have some questions still but i think a reread would help me work it out better.
mainly i read this bc it’s getting an amazon tv adaptation directed by phoebe waller-bridge so OBVIOUSLY i’m in.
overall i recommend!!

Hilarious, smart, creative. Finished in two days, stayed up thinking about all the twists and turns. Genius, wish I could give it 5 stars, but was a little hard to follow in parts.
