Very fun seeing the cosmere coming together - even if I was constantly googling stuff (including an Era 2 recap, it's been ages!) and still lost quite often. Luckily, the daunting feeling is outweighed by the exciting "A-ha!" of recognising something on my own.
My main criticism is definitely the humour - though there are some genuinely funny moments I think they are overshadowed by the misses. That said, I did like the end to Wayne's arc, even if he is the source of a lot of the more underwhelming jokes.
I think Stormlight Archive has Sanderson's strongest character work but the Mistborn magic system is so great, and I think I might finally find the motivation to reread the original trilogy (especially to compare Kelsier's character to what he is now because I honestly don't love him at the moment, though I do like the other Ghostblood members in here). Overall fun stuff and felt like it had strong momentum the whole way through, which is something that Sanderson's longer works struggle with, good as they all are.

Thoroughly enjoyed the wax and wayne series and this book certainly felt like a culmination of cosmere fan service that Brandon Sanderson absolutely delivers on. I probably only caught 10% of all the easter eggs but I cherished each one. This level of integration and imagination is truly unmatched in the fantasy space. Loved the time I spent with the main cast and you can tell how much fun Sanderson had fleshing out their personalities. I will say the climactic moments are a big telegraphed early on but I still loved the Lost Metal and it is easily my favorite of the four books in era 2.0. I could not be more excited for ghostblood era 3.0 and need it in my hands now.
