I liked this book! It's weird to be done with Mistborn. I really liked this story, I enjoyed a lot of it. 2 small complaints, one there was a scene or two where characters who should not have been able to hear eachother could (because of a speed bubble) where they still appeared to have in the scene. Second complaint, while the first trilogy felt very tied off and like a complete series, this much more so pushes the reader to the other books. Which I can see the merits and detriments of it but given that I have only read Mistborn in the Cosmere it feels a little bad.

Era 2 couldn’t fully grab me, even in the last volume. It just can’t live up to my beloved Era 1.
Don’t get me wrong - I enjoyed Wax, Wayne, and their companions’ journeys, and the story itself was great. The writing and character voice were excellent, as I think they are in every Brandy Sandy book.
Buuut I just didn’t like the setting very much, and for me, honestly, the characters felt flat in comparison to those from Era 1.
What I did love were all the larger-scale Cosmere connections! I’d always read about them in reviews but could never quite picture them — now I get it, and I’m really excited for the upcoming Ghostblood series!
Era 2 of mistborn was a wonderful surprise. I didn't know if I would like the change into an industrial age but it works so surprisingly well and the characters were some of my favorites in the series.
