I'm not the biggest fan of era 2 of Mistborn, mainly I didn't like the genre shift from epic fantasy to western mystery adventure. For the fourth book, I already knew well what to expect, and it didn't disappoint. It had a fast-paced adventure with a lot of fights, which didn't seem to hinder the pacing of the story.
The ending may have felt a little lackluster, but from an old-timey adventure mystery, it was good enough. Main mystery threads got solved, adventures got adventured, and weapons got shot.
From the character side, all the Wax and Wayne gang point of views were interesting and the banter between them was top-notch.
As for all the Cosmere and connectivity with other books, I'm all aboard with it, no matter how tacked on or out of place it may seem.

3.5 stars. I found it quite hard to get into this one at first and even after I did it didn’t capture me as much as the previous two books. Still I enjoyed it tho and that ending was really good.
