Okay I get it now. I get the Sanderson craze. I started the series feeling unsure about it after the first three in the Mistborn series blew me away, but the ending really showed out.

Wayne's story arc was so beautiful. This was a classic case of PSYCH the character you thought was the main character isn't actually. Once again, the sidekick became the hero, a trope Sanderson seems to love and so do I. The themes around religion and God continued to be interesting. God as a flawed character while still being invested in the people is interesting. Knowing who he was as a person added something to the context of God. It was really fun seeing all of the characters from the previous series that came back for this one.

Sanderso 's writing makes me feel good, even when it's sad. There is so much redemption for the characters and I love that the story always seems to have a good ending with him. The world he has created is so unique and fascinating and I am really excited to explore the rest of it.

The best book of the Wax and Wayne tetralogy; the character arcs finally paid off, but Stormlight Archive and the Original Mistborn trilogy still win
