I thought the idea was really cute and loved the art style, but the story felt flat for me. I’m left with way more questions than answers yet at the same time I don’t ever want to get a sequel for this graphic novel.

I don’t know. I still really enjoyed it though.

This was such a fun and funny graphic novel! It’s about Nimona, who is a shapeshifter. Nimona aligns herself with Balister Blackheart, a villain. Together, they work to take down the institution!

I LOVED THIS ART!! It is absolutely stunning. The story leaps off the pages, and the experience was enhanced by the beautiful artwork. Please, I need more graphic novels to have chapter transitions. These were wonderful!

I loved this story of bravery and heart, friends and foes, and doing what’s right, even if it makes you some enemies. Fully recommend picking this one up!!

This is all the best kinds of weird. It mixes up all kinds of fantasy, steampunk, superhero, and straight up modern-internet-goofball sensibilities, and with such a light and deft touch that if it seems weird or inconsistent to you than surely YOU are the problem. Best of all it has a huge heart, yet isn't schmaltzy or cutesy at all, probably because it's balanced by a bit of honest to goodness "wow that's dark."

And it's a complete story. In one volume. Saints be praised.

Simply one of the best graphic novels you will find for all ages. And my girls (10 & 13) adored it too. So well done.
