The themes can be heavy but the depictions in the art is all of moderate to light. Maybe only give this at youngest to a tween-younger teen.trippalli's review against another edition

Graphic: Police brutality
Moderate: Homophobia, Ableism, Blood, and Medical trauma
Minor: Grief, Torture, and Vomit
Most of the triggering content in this book is fairly mild; the only explicit thing is the police brutality. Any triggering content is done tastefully, and while I'm usually triggered by all of the above, it didn't really upset me.
